Newton Fire and Flood removed flood water and mud from my basement and garage. Provided fans and dehumidifiers for several days to dry out the area.

Our street flooded in a heavy rain and the water flowed into our underground garage and into the finished basement. I called Newton Fire and Flood and Phillip called me back within 10 min. He and his workers came to the house within a half hour. Phillip is extremely knowledgeable about removing flood water and avoiding mold. He was very professional and acted quickly. After I realized that our insurance policy does not cover flood damage, I was able to negotiate a price with Phillip.
He had all the equipment and workers here within minutes and they worked for most of the day. They removed water from the finished part of the basement. Fortunately, there was no mud in this area, just water. The garage had a lot stuff that they moved outside, sorted the damaged/wet items from the non-damaged items, removed water and a layer of mud. The garage floor looked like new again. Phillip recommended taking off the baseboard in some areas and making holes in the walls, which was done by our contractors, who are finishing construction in the house.
Newton Fire and Flood left big fans and heavy-duty dehumidifiers all over the garage and basement for several days to dry out the area. Phillip came in a couple of times to check how it was drying. We purchased our own moisture meter on Amazon, which I would recommend doing. It wasn't expensive, and helped us assess the moisture level in the walls. By the time, Phillip picked up the fans and dehumidifiers everything had dried sufficiently.

I cannot say enough about this provider-he was so professional and knowledgeable. Provider gave me and my husband information that settled our fears of potential mold issues that were not. Phil addressed all of our questions and found the issue and instructed my husband how to address the issue. we are so grateful Phil was available on such short notice and we would highly recommend

Homeowner's worst nightmare, natural disasters aside, hands down! The main water line in my 6 unit was backed up and spewing sewerage into my cellar intermittently. So, having faith in my handiness I opened the trap and was instantly blasted with...stuff! It continued to back up until the whole floor was covered. I was mortified and broken. "What am I going to do?" "Who's going to help me clean up this mess, who?" A neighbor referred me to NEWTON FIRE & FLOOD. From the moment Phillip answered I was able to see a way through this nightmare. He assured me it was no problem for his crew, not to worry that it would look & smell like it never happened. I wanted to believe him and as soon as I hired them the work began! They were in & out before the anticipated time and not 1 thing was left unsanitized! I couldn't believe it was the same place it was a few hours before. Phillip is very professional, punctual and competitively priced...so if you do the math, I got ALOT more than my $'s worth. There are some professional, reliable companies out there and this is one of them!

Quick response. Worker got tied up in traffic, so was late for appointment. Came in. Viewed flooded areas. Tested for moisture and mold. Found that heat was high enough that no work was needed. Made suggestions for getting rid of possibly damaged boxes of books. Did not push services. Pleasant experience.

Phillip and his crew were recommended to us by our most trusted repairman when we had sewage backup in our basement. The team showed up and immediately got to work, coordinating with our insurance company so we didn't have to. Phillip listened to all of our requests, moved as quickly as possible, and even put on some finishing touches (such as painting our ceiling) for which they were not compensated. The quality of the work was excellent--and Phillip showed a willingness to go the extra mile in order to make sure we were satisfied. I certainly hope we never have sewage in our basement again, but if we do then we know who to call!

Provided remediation services after a flood from a leaking sink damaged three floors in my home.

Phil and his crew responded promptly to my call - immediately came over same day and fully investigated the damage done. I had a third floor sink that had burst and leaked water through walls and floors - down three floors, all the way to the basement.
Phil noted all the damage, took pictures, and promptly set up drying fans and dehumidifiers. He also helped walk me through contacting my insurance company and dealing with their adjuster.
After leaving fans / etc. to do their work for a couple days - Phil came back in and began the process to help repair the damage.
His team is friendly and helpful and he remains in good communication with clients.
Description Of Work & Comment:
There was a fire at my six family in Jamaica Plain. I called Phillip and he came the next day, which was a Sunday and started his fire/smoke water & mold remediation. He was very professional and knew what to do. He set up his machines... air scrubbers, air filters, dehumidifiers... and set forth with demo and cleaning.
I highly recommend Phillip of Newton Fire and Flood. I hope I never have another crisis like this ever again. But, if I do. I will call Phillip and his company in a heartbeat.
